Dazzled!...
     Yes literally I was dazzled by the dynamism of this new International Society for Vestibular Reeducation (SIRV) that held its third annual meeting on Saturday 20 May inside la Maison de la Chimie in Paris.
     People is moving ahead, they want to do something and they make researches and they publish them... Congratulations BLIN, DESBAUD, DERUY, DUMAS, GARIN, MARC, MISÉRÉ... It's the right way to go on, and to go on well.
     As a proof, the faith profession that Alain SÉMONT, the leader of this society, made in front of us: "The vestibular apparatus is nothing compared to the processing of its signal inside the SNC". What a change ! When one thinks of the tradition in which vestibular studies were developed: the Function and the Organ, inheritance of the nineteenth century in the course of which histologists discovered organs of sense, the sensory function accomplished by an anatomical structure all at the same spot!
     Yes, Alain, you are right, the equilibrium system is a 'topologically burst' system and we have not finished understanding how the SNC processes all these signals to make an unique motor output ! And we have not finished understanding all traps of the logic of systems that overflow, how much!, the logic of telephone cable or of irrigation system...
     As - through his verve - professor RANCUREL confessed clearly we are still ignorants...
     But we can add: at least the question is well set.
